4-year-old boy: Mom, you're a "stunning" beauty.

4-year-old boy to big sister: You know, when I'm big I'll go to middle school!
.......But, how do you do homework?

Big sister to me: where does he get them from?
4-year-old boy: from the mouth.

Caffeine or not caffeine.

image from: https://segue.middlebury.edu/sites/ital0101a-w10

I have another "important" question in my mind these days, it seems that my blog turned from giving tips, to asking tips, no, this is not the question.
Being the title self explaining we are talking about...coffee.
I usually (always) take a caffè-latte at 6.30/7 am, in my case a caffè-latte consist in a cup of cold milk with an espresso in it (yum).
At circa 10 am, I take another espresso at work, and that's all my caffeine consumption per day.
In the afternoon I often (always) feel sleepy and tired but I didn't relate this with the lack of coffee, actually I don't like plain coffee so I don't take it.
But yesterday I had to go to a party at the kindergarten, I knew it would be a bit tiring and decided to take a caffè macchiato (coffee with a splash of milk) after lunch. I walked a lot, and stood a lot, but when I came back home I was only slightly tired, end felt more energetic than ever.
So I understood, if I 'd take another coffee in the afternoon, probably I'd feel more vigorous and awake, but I ask myself is this right?
Is it right that I need this "help" to feel better, and run things smoothly?
Wouldn't it be better if I cut out coffee at all?
The problem is, if I don't take a coffee in the morning it's hard to wake and to work, I feel a zombie until I take one.
I read on an article that this is a withdrawal symptom, and that can stay 4 days.
I could try to cut off my coffee during a week-end though.
Do you have any experience about that? Is it possible to feel awake and full of energy without taking caffeine in any form?

Why don't they answer?

It's more than a year that I am in the blogger's world, and there is one thing that simply I don't get.

And this one thing concerns me, well more or less.

There's a lot of bloggers out there, who don't answer to comments.

And I don't understand why.

I'm not talking about bloggers who have tons of comments, but those who have a few.

When somebody leaves a comment on my blogs, it's like he's talking to me, so, not to answer....you know what I mean.

I go to his blog, or I answer in my comments section.

Now, usually I try to understand other people's point of view, and this is the case, I'm asking you to help me to understand.(this seems a bit dramatic, I know)

If you don't answer to comments, tell me why, and this is not some kind of accusation (pinky promise), I really want to understand, because I know there's always a reason if somebody does or doesn't something.

Thanks a lot!

Oh, I feel so much better now! that's a load off my mind :D

Update:

First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to answer to my question, but, talking about it with Chamki, I understood that:
# 1 The reasons are as subjective as a favorite taste of ice cream, so even if I 'd try to apply any of your opinions to a particular situation, most probably it wouldn't be the specific case.
And sometimes the reasons why we act in a certain way are somehow inexplicable to other people.
# 2 you can see it like this, someone is giving you something..... a post, and you are giving something back.....a comment, sounds even, isn't it?

The most beautiful summer.

My bloggy friend Kimberly, over at Terra del Sole, started a new meme, Mia Monday, go and check what it's all about.
I choose to talk about the favorite summer of my life, I have no doubt.... well there are some beautiful summers in my life but this is the best.
We are talking about 1987 (Ice age?), I ended high school, and in June my Mom and I, went to a trip in Holland.

Summer in Holland is cool, places are amazing, houses are so, so pretty, there's a lot of nature, fields, trees, horses, etc....
Amsterdam is charming, and beautiful, we went in short trip to Bruxelles too, but the thing that i remember most of it, is the first and only time, I had a belgian waffle....heavenly. ( Oh yes! and Manneken-piss )

Then in August I went with some aunts to another vacation, at the seaside.

And then, in September I went with my Mom in South Italy, in a gorgeous Hotel where I found the love of my life, that actually is my Hubby.

And I learned how to ride horses too.

But now that I think about it, I had very, very lovely summers in my life, thank you Mom, thank you life.

After Samantha Who, now what?

Today I ended watching the two series of Samantha Who, that I enjoyed a lot, and I'm going to miss, even if, two to three episodes a day was a bit too much.
Anyway, about the show, it's a little old, but as I say, if I don't know it, it's new for me, but I digress.
As I was saying.... the show,.....it's about a girl who has an accident, stays in a coma for 8 days and when she wakes up, she has an amnesia.
She remembers nothing about her previous life, then she starts to understand who she was, day by day (and I'm not going to ruin the surprise ;) with the help of her friends, parents, and ex boy-friend.
I found the show very funny, and witty.
Most of all I liked the characters, hilarious was Samantha's best friend Andrea, a cynic, shallow, ego-centric, Italian lady (by the way, in Italy, Andrea is a male name), and the dialogs amongst the three friends.
I also loved the interactions between Samantha and her mother.
In short, I loved it all.
Now, I saw the last episode of The Mentalist too, Lost is going to an end.
What am I going to watch?
I would like something funny, and light, but smart too.
Advice anyone?
P.s. if you are thinking that I was watching Tv shows instead of posting on my blog, hey! you are right, shame on me :D
And if you want to know, while I'm rereading this post, I'm doing it with Samantha's voice in my head, am I nuts?
Well, at least I don't have amnesia.

Why I chose a puma as my avatar.

Disclaimer: it's not that I'm posting again at full regime but today I was thinking about my avatar and how it can be misunderstood.
Okay, first I'm Italian, and in Italy we don't have pumas, I only saw them in movies and documentaries and always liked them, I think their faces are beautiful.
And once I had an avatar who was a cougar's cub, so lovely.
But then I was looking for a new avatar, and since I thought to be more mature, I imagined an adult puma could fit.
When I found the picture above, I liked it immediately, it seems so placid, and pensive, and lazy, the way I am.
What I didn't think at the time was:
First, for American people, a cougar or puma is a real threat, in certain areas cougars are free and dangerous.
Second, for Americans, a "cougar" is a mature woman (as I am) that dates with younger men (I don't).
Now, I'm a bit concerned about these two things, and I ask you, my friends, what my avatar makes you think?
Honestly ;)
